GUCCI APPOINTS A NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Out with the old in with the new, Gucci appoints a new Creative Director, Alessandro Michele. Alessandro was formally an associate to Ms. Giannini, ex-creative director of Gucci, since 2002. He's no stranger to the industry, previously working for Tom Ford and Fendi.

Gucci's decision to move forward with a new creative director was due to the brand not performing as well as it should've been. Ms. Giannini’s vision was too focused on the past, bringing in old styles and trying to re-vamp them. Ultimately this did not drive high sales to the business.

I am so excited to see what Alesandro has in store for Gucci, it seems to me he has sharpened that edge we have come to know. The big announcement was made after the Men’s show last week. With only 5 days to come up with an entire collection for the Mens Fall 15’ line, he has already shown us what he has to offer. Thrasher x For Love & Lemons

I tend to mix my style with a bunch of different things. I go from designer to thrift wear and sporty to girly. People have asked me how I would describe my style, and I just say I'm eclectic. I love everything! I am wearing a Thrasher tee that I cut too short and a For Love & Lemons bralette underneath to give it a more girly vibe!

Active Wear ON-THE-GO

I think its kind of lame to go out in work out clothes, but Alexander Wang made all of that possible. His H&M collection was brilliant. Cool, comfortable, fashionable and chic was the theme of his sports wear collection. I was running errands early Saturday morning and threw a leather jacket on because that was the only jacket I had in my car from the night before! lol
